Dina Senkina Named Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Women's tennis junior Dina Senkina was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for women's tennis for the week ending February 16th. Senkina went 4-0 to propel the Owls to two big wins over Richmond on Friday and Old Dominion on Saturday.
Senkina played in the No. 2 slot in singles and doubles. She won her singles match 6-3, 6-3 and her doubles match 8-1 (paired with sophomore Elyse Steiner) against the defending Atlantic 10 champions Richmond. On Saturday, against Old Dominion, Senkina continued her winning ways with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory in singles and again teamed up with Steiner for an 8-2 win in doubles.
The wins bring Senkina's overall records to 5-2 in singles and 7-3 in doubles. The women's tennis team has a record of 4-2 and hopes to get to 6-2 after this weekend with matches at Columbia on Friday and at home against UMBC on Saturday.
