Women's Lacrosse Hosts #14 Penn State In Season Opener On Sunday

PHILADELPHIA-Women's lacrosse opens it season this Sunday when it hosts #14 Penn State on Geasey Field at 1 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday but was moved to Sunday due to weather conditions.
Temple is 10-22 all-time against Penn State, whose coaching staff features former Owl assistant coach B.J. Lucey. PSU is the first of five teams ranked in the Preseason Top 20 poll that Temple will face off against this season.
The Cherry and White return seven seniors from a squad that went 6-11 last year and advanced to the A-10 semifinal round. Senior Hillary Richards was voted a preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse Magazine.
This is the first game of the year for Penn State as well. The Nittany Lions are currently ranked 15th by Lacrosse Magazine, tied for 11th by Inside Lacrosse Magazine and 14th by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA).
