JERSEY CITY, NJ -
Temple men's tennis team got back on track against St. Peter's after a tough loss against George Washington last week. The Owls were dominant in the 6-0 victory, winning five or six singles matches and two of three doubles matches. The Owls were also winning the two matches that did not finish when they were stopped. The victory brings the Owls record to 4-6 on the season.
Head coach Steve Mauro was pleased with his team's effort, especially his No. 1 singles player, "Ricardo Velazquez played his best match of the year, playing against a very tough opponent and getting a big win." The win will be a big confidence boost for the Owls heading into next weekend's match against Drexel.
"It was nice to get back on the winning track and we hope to keep it going against Drexel next weekend," said Coach Mauro. The match will be played at Cheltenham Tennis Courts on Sunday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
