PHILADELPHIA, PA - The men's tennis team lost to Binghamton in a match that was closer than the scoreline. The loss brings Temple's record to 4-9 overall. Freshman Andrew Choi brought his singles record to .500 with the lone win for the Owls.
Temple lost a few tough matches with sophomore Pavlos Stephanides losing both sets by a score of 6-4 while senior Zach Tobias won the first set in his match but ended up losing 6-4, 6-1 in the last two.
"We fought hard today but Binghamton is a really tough team," said head coach Steve Mauro. "This was good preparation leading into our match with Duquesne."
Temple will face their Atlantic 10 foes on Friday, March 14 for their first match of the year at the Temple Pavilion. The match will begin at 5:00 p.m.
