Softball Opens Up Conference Play With Saint Bonaventure This Saturday

AMBLER, PA - The Temple softball team opens up conference this weekend when they host Saint Bonaventure in a double-header from the Ambler Sports Complex on Saturday, March 22nd at noon.
Following the game, the softball team is offering a free clinic to all interested kids. Participating kids will get instructions from the team and coaching staff and will receive a free t-shirt for participation.
Against Delaware State on Tuesday, junior Katie Burdeaux (1-2) was masterful at the plate and on the mound as the Owls (5-6) cruised to a 14-0 victory. She smacked her first two home runs of the season and knocked in 3 RBI at the plate. She also tossed five shutout innings and struck out six while on the mound. Junior Courtney Norene also went deep for her team-high fourth home run of the season. Sophomore Krystle Metzler and senior Natalie Wagner also added two hits each, including back-to-back doubles in the second inning that set the tone for the game.
