PHILADELPHIA - The Temple football players received a surprise for their third session of spring practice on Monday evening--a change of venue.

Head coach Al Golden took his squad to the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia, the indoor practice facility of the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Andy Reid and several members of the Eagles' coaching staff watched the TU practice, the Owls' first this spring with pads.

The venue change was a part of Temple's "flip the switch" mentality this spring, learning how to play anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

Following each day of spring practice, the coaching staff awards a "Player of the Day" for the offense, defense, and special teams. Tonight's honorees were WR Dy'Onne Crudup (offense), DE Brian Sanford (defense), and CB Evan Cooper, Jr. (special teams).

Temple's next practice is Tuesday, March 25.

Temple will open the 2008 season at Army on Friday, August 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. before a national television audience on ESPNU or ESPN Classic. The Owls host Connecticut on Sept. 6 at Lincoln Financial Field in their home opener.

Temple football season tickets are on sale now for as low as $75, and can be purchased by calling the Temple Ticket Office at 215-204-8499. Fans are encouraged to visit www.OwlsTix.com for full season ticket pricing information.
