PHILADELPHIA - The Temple football team enjoyed a beautiful, sunny, yet cold, day on Saturday at Edberg-Olson Hall for its sixth spring practice session. The Owls' practiced was observed by more than 275 high school coaches who attended a morning coaching clinic present by Al Golden and his staff.
Following each day of spring practice, the coaching staff awards a "Player of the Day" for the offense, defense, and special teams. Today's honorees were OT Jabari Ferguson (offense), LB Elijah Joseph (defense), and DB Wilbert Brinson (special teams).
Temple's next practice is Tuesday, April 1.
Temple opens the 2008 season at Army on Friday, August 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. before a national television audience on ESPNU or ESPN Classic. The Owls host Connecticut on Sept. 6 at Lincoln Financial Field in their home opener.
