Senkina Named OwlSports Athlete of the Month for February

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Dina Senkina of the Temple women's tennis team has been named the OwlSports Athlete of the Month for the month of February.
Senkina, a native of Moscow, Russia, was nearly unbeatable during the month of February. She won 14 consecutive matches for the month, compiling a 14-2 mark in singles and doubles play. For her efforts, she was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the week ending February 16th.
Thanks in part to Senkina's play, the Owls reeled off seven consecutive victories in February, including an important win over Atlantic 10 champion Richmond. Both Senkina and the Owls have not lost since falling to cross-town rival Penn on February 2nd.
The Cherry and White return to action on Wednesday, March 11th when they travel to the Sunshine State to face Florida Gulf Coast.
