PHILADELPHIA - Just like in a real game, the Temple football team battled the elements on Tuesday at Edberg-Olson Hall during its seventh spring practice session. The squad practiced through spurts of rain, wind, and sunshine.
Following each day of spring practice, the coaching staff awards a "Player of the Day" for the offense, defense, and special teams. Today's honorees were RB/WR Jason Harper (offense), S Jaiquawn Jarrett (defense), and DE James Namude (special teams).
Temple's next practice is Thursday, April 3.
Temple opens the 2008 season at Army on Friday, August 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. before a national television audience on ESPNU or ESPN Classic. The Owls host Connecticut on Sept. 6 at Lincoln Financial Field in their home opener.
