Women's Tennis advances to Atlantic 10 Final

MONROEVILLE, PA - The women's tennis team defeated four-time defending champion Richmond on Saturday in Monroevilla, Pa. to advance to the finals of the Atlantic 10 Championships. The Owls will take on Xavier at 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
During the regular season the Owls won a hard fought match against the Spiders and they were able to do the same on Saturday. Lucie Pazderova and Dina Senkina both picked up wins in singles and doubles action. Pazderova was paired with Theresa Stangl in the 8-6 victory, while Senkina teamed up with Elyse Steiner to defeat their opponents 8-4.
The Owls did not face the Musketeers of Xavier during the regular season. The Musketeers were able to defeat Massachusetts, 4-2, to make the trip to the final.
