Whitney Richards Named to Womenslacrosse.com's Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA- After leading the Temple women's lacrosse team to a record setting fifth Atlantic 10 title, senior midfielder Whitney Richards was named to the womenslacrosse.com weekly honor roll.
A First Team A-10 selection, Richards was voted the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament after compiling five goals, six groundball, five draw controls and six caused turnovers in two games in wins over Duquesne and host UMass. Her six caused turnover performance against Duquesne set a new A-10 record for caused turnovers in a tournament game.
Temple takes its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2004 on May 11. The Cherry and White will learn their seeding, opponent and destination on Monday, May 5 when the brackets are unveiled live on CBS College Sports Television at 7 p.m.
