PHILADELPHIA- After helping the Temple women's lacrosse team to its best start since the 1998 season, senior Whitney Richards earned her second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor of the season.
Richards scored seven goals and dished five assists to allow Temple to stay unbeaten in A-10 play and continue its five-game winning streak. In the victory at LaSalle, the senior scored four goals on five shots and dished four assists. She followed that up with a three goal, one assist performance against UMass. Richards scored two late goals, including the game-winner, to help the Owls outscore the Minutewomen 6-2 in the second half.
The senior has posted 29 goals and 21 assists in 11 starts for the Owls. Temple is currently 5-0 in A-10 play and 8-3 overall.
