Caniglia, Richards And Summerlin To Play In IWLCA North South Senior All-Star Game

PHILADELPHIA- Seniors Nicole Caniglia, Hillary Richards and Berkley Summerlin will be playing for Team North Saturday when 43 of the nation's best seniors compete in the annual IWLCA/Under Armour North-South Senior All Star Game. The game, which features 12 All-Americans, tips off at 12 p.m. at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. All three were selected based on success achieved during their playing career and availability for the game.
A Second Team Regional All-American, Caniglia was third on this year's squad in points, posting 40 goals and 12 assists. Richards was one of the Owls' top midfielders this season with 24 assists and 13 goals. She also was second in draw controls (40), third in caused turnovers (23) and scooped up 29 groundballs. One of the top producers on both the offensive and defensive ends of the ball, Summerlin also garnered Second Team Regional All-American honors. She finished second on the team in scoring this season with 44 goals and 19 assists and was also second in groundballs (41) and caused turnovers (36) and third in draw controls (36). A member of the A-10 All-Tournament Team, Summerlin finished the season ranked 15th in the nation in caused turnovers and graduated third on Temple's career draw control list and fourth on the career caused turnover list. The senior is just as successful off the field, posting a 3.4 GPA as a communications major and a spot on the A-10 All-Academic Team.
The North squad is being led by Hall of Fame player and current Syracuse head coach Gary Gait.
