Temple Volleyball Narrowly Misses Win Over Marquette, 3-2

Milwaukee, Wisc.-Junior Yun Yi Zhang had a career-high 23 kills and Ashley Carr added 15 others but it was not enough as the Temple volleyball team (3-3) dropped a 3-2 decision to Marquette (3-4) on Friday night. The Owls had a team-high .400 hitting percentage in game three but it was not enough to overcome a strong Marquette team.
Jackie Morrison dished 30 assists, while Ariel Pierre had 12 digs. Caitlin Loudon posted 10 digs and Cayleigh Ashman blocked a match-high eight opponent attacks.
The Owls dropped game one 14-25, rebounded to take games one (25-18) and two (25-21) and fell in games three (25-23) and four (10-15).
The Owls return to action tomorrow against Bowling Green and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
