Storrs, Conn.- The Temple volleyball team dropped a close match to host UConn, 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 17-25), in the final match of the UConn Tournament. Yun Yi Zhang led the Owls with 20 kills as Temple fell to 6-6 on the season.
Ashley Carr posted a double-double of 12 kills and 13 digs, while Ariel Pierre had 22 digs. Catlin Loudon chipped in with 11 digs and Jackie Morrison dished 47 assists.
Zhang and Ashman were voted to the All-Tournament Team for their stellar performance over the last two days.
Temple is back in action on Tuesday when it travels to LaSalle for a 12 p.m. match.
