College Park, Md.- Sophomore goalkeeper Kara Williams had nine saves, including six in the first half, but it was not enough to withstand a 27-2 shot differential as the Temple women's soccer team (0-3-1) fell, 2-0, to the Maryland Terrapins (2-2-1) on Sunday afternoon. The Owl defense was able to force a 0-0 result at halftime, but could not hold on to force overtime.

Williams was instrumental in holding off the Terps in the first half but Maryland broke through in the 56th minute. The home team netted an insurance goal in the 77th minute.

Cori Gallagher registered one shot off of a penalty kick, while Liz Roper had Temple's other shot.

Temple returns home to face St. Peter's College on Friday, September 12 at 4 p.m.
