PHILADELPHIA - Temple University Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw has been named an Executive Mentor for the NCAA Fellows Leadership Development Program.

One of 12 mentors nationwide, Bradshaw will guide and nurture an NCAA Fellow over the next 18 months. Bradshaw will meet his NCAA Fellow during this week's NCAA Convention in Washington, D.C.

The NCAA Fellows Leadership Development Program, implemented in 1997, was developed with the specific goal of enhancing the employment and leadership opportunities for racial/ethnic minorities and women at the senior management level of intercollegiate athletics administration. The program provides specific professional experiences that will enable participants with the opportunity to further develop their talents and abilities and to mesh these skills with their professional aspirations. The program is designed to foster leadership within intercollegiate athletics.

Additionally, Bradshaw will serve as a panelist on the Diversity and Inclusion session. The panel will facilitate discussion that explores innovative and effective strategies and action that enhance diversity in athletics administration leadership.

An All-America baseball player at La Salle University, Bradshaw was appointed Temple's eighth Director of Athletics on June 27, 2002. The NACDA Past President is in his 31st year as a Division I athletics director, and last June he received a contract extension that will keep him at Temple through 2011-12. Prior to his arrival in Owl Country he spent 16 years as Director of Athletics at DePaul University in Chicago and nine years in the same position at his alma mater La Salle (`69).
