Temple’s Brandon McManus Named MAC Specialist of the Week

Owls Travel to Akron for Friday the 13th Game

CLEVELAND  – Temple freshman kicker Brandon McManus (Hatfield, Pa.) has earned Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week honors for the East division, the MAC announced on Monday.

In Temple's 34-32 win over Miami on Thursday, McManus kicked an 18-yard game-winning field goal with three seconds on the clock to give the Owls their seventh consecutive win.

McManus had two field goals and four extra points on the night. McManus also kicked off seven times for 431 yards (61.6 average).

In nine games, McManus is 14-of-19 in field goals and 27-of-29 in points-after-touchdown. He is second in Owls' scoring with 69 points.

The MAC honor is the second of McManus' collegiate career and the Owls' seventh honor this season.

Temple (7-2, 5-0 MAC) travels to Akron (2-7, 1-4 MAC) on Friday, Nov. 13. ESPNU will televise the contest live at 8:30 p.m. from InfoCision Stadium.
