Temple Athletics Hosts Bowl Selection Party on Sunday

The Temple University Athletics Department invites alumni, fans, and friends to watch the 2009 Bowl Selection Show with members of the Temple football team and coaching staff this Sunday, Dec. 6
.
The selection party will be held in the Liacouras Center lobby. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The selection show begins at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
The Temple Owls finished the regular season at 9-3 overall and tied for first place in the MAC East at 7-1, including a single-season school record of nine consecutive wins. Temple expects to make its first bowl appearance in 30 years. The last time the Owls played in the postseason was 1979 when TU beat California in the Garden State Bowl.
Joining the football team will be Hooter the Owl and the Spirit Squad.
Admission to the event is FREE. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
