Phil Steele Honors 15 Owls with All-MAC Honors

Bernard Pierce Names to All-Freshman Team

CLEVELAND  – Phil Steele has honored 15 Temple football players as members of his annual All-Mid-American Conference teams.

Named to the All-MAC first team were freshman RB Bernard Pierce (Ardmore, Pa.), junior OL Colin Madison (Villa Park, Ill.), r-junior OL Darius Morris (Long Branch, N.J.), senior NT Andre Neblett (Rahway, N.J.), and sophomore DE Adrian Robinson (Harrisburg, Pa.).

Earning second team recognition were senior LB Alex Joseph (Stamford, Conn.), sophomore KOR James Nixon (New Haven, Conn.), r-senior OL Devin Tyler (Suitland, Md.), and sophomore DT Muhammad Wilkerson (Linden, N.J.).

Third team All-MAC honorees included junior PR Delano Green (Fredericksburg, Va.), junior DB Jaiquawn Jarrett (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and r-sophomore OL John Palumbo (Lyndhurst, N.J.).

On the fourth team were sophomore DB Kevin Kroboth (Nazareth, Pa.), senior TE Steve Maneri (Saddle Brook, N.J.), junior LB Elijah “Peanut” Joseph (Hartford, Conn.).

Additionally, Pierce was named second team All-Freshman among all Division I freshman.

Temple finished the regular season at 9-3 overall and 7-1 in MAC play, tying for first place. The Owls will play in the EagleBank Bowl on Dec. 29 at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. on ESPN. Temple will face either Army (if the Black Knights beat Navy this weekend) or UCLA.
