PHILADELPHIA – Indianapolis Colt defensive tackle, Temple University alumnus, and Philadelphia native Raheem Brock (1998-2001) gave back to students at his childhood elementary school today.

Brock's foundation, Brock's Kids, asked students in grades 4-8 Lingelbach Elementary School to write an essay on what the holidays and giving mean to them. Fifty students were selected to take part in a holiday shopping spree based on the essays.

Along with six current Temple Owl football players - WR Matt Brookhart, OL Marcus Brown, TE Steve Maneri, OL John Palumbo, OL Wayne Tribue, P Jeff Wathne-- Brock took the 50 students shopping at the Philadelphia West Target.

The Temple players, headed to the EagleBank Bowl on Dec. 29, assisted the children in selecting gifts.

A second-team All-Big East selection, Brock had 51 tackles and four sacks as a senior. The two-time Temple team captain was drafted in 2002 by the Philadelphia Eagles. Brock signed as a free agent with Indianapolis in 2002, helping the Colts to the 2007 Super Bowl championship.
