PHILADELPHIA – The countdown to the 2009 EagleBank Bowl has begun, and the Temple Owls are inviting their fans and the media to an open practice session on Sunday, Dec. 13 from Noon to 1:45 p.m. at the Edberg-Olson Complex (11th & Diamond Streets).
Following practice, members of the football team will sign autographs prior to the Temple-Villanova basketball game on the concourse of the Liacouras Center. Fans will have the opportunity to pick up EagleBank Bowl and 2010 football season ticket order forms.
The Temple Owls finished the regular season at 9-3 overall and tied for first place in the MAC East at 7-1, including a single-season school record of nine consecutive wins. Temple will make its first bowl appearance in 30 years when the Owls travel to the EagleBank Bowl in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 29. Kickoff at RFK Stadium is set for 4:30 p.m. Temple will play Army or UCLA.
