Landry Named Big Five Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA-After leading Temple women's basketball to two big wins last week, senior Shenita Landry was named the Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week for the week ending February 22. This is the third Big Five Player of the week honor for the senior.
Landry averaged 16.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg in leading Temple to two huge wins over Charlotte and Richmond. She shot nearly 64% from the field. In the game at Charlotte, Landry scored a career-high 21 points and had a crucial block with three seconds remaining to ensure the win over the 49ers. In the win over Richmond, she had her 13th career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while adding two assists, one steal and one block.
Landry is averaging a team-high 12.5 ppg and 9.6 rpg. The Owls have won seven out of their last eight games.
