Towson, Md.- Senior Brittany Hoffman scored four goals but could not lead her team over the hump, as the Temple women's lacrosse team (0-4) was defeated by the Towson Tigers (2-1) on Wednesday afternoon in Towson, Maryland. The Tigers outshot Temple 41-14 in the first ever meeting between the two schools.

The teams traded goals three times over a 12-minute span before a Towson goal just before halftime made it 8-3 at the break.
The Tigers extended their lead to 10-3 after scoring back-to-back goals. However, the Owls responded with two straight goals from Hoffman, narrowing the margin to 10-5 with 11:31 left. Towson upped its cushion to 12-5, scoring two consecutive goals in a 38-second span. The teams exchanged goals before Zimmer scored her first goal of the season, an unassisted marker with 33 seconds remaining.
