Rukavyshnykova Named Atlantic 10 Performer Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple junior Anastasiia Rukavyshnykova has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Rukavyshnykova compiled a 3-0 singles record and a 2-1 doubles record as the Owls posted three wins.
The Kiev, Ukraine native opened the week with a 7-5, 6-4 win at third singles over Lehigh's Julie Arthofer in Temple's 7-0 victory. She followed at fourth singles with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Penn's Jacqueline Wong as the Owls prevailed, 4-3.
On Sunday, she beat Dartmouth's Georgiana Smyser, 4-3, at #4 as the Cherry and White suffered its only defeat of the week, 4-3.
She is now 15-4 in singles this season, including 7-3 in her last 10 matches.
Rukavyshnykova also teamed with classmate Christine Clermont to go 2-1 in doubles. They played #1 in an 8-2 win over Lehigh and an 8-6 loss at Penn before beating Dartmouth at #2, 9-7.
Temple (6-4) returns to the courts on Friday when it visits Columbia.
