#9 Princeton Defeats Temple Women's Lacrosse, 13-4

Princeton, N.J.- Lizzy Drumm netted six goals to lead the #9 Princeton Tigers (5-1) to a 13-4 win over the Temple women's lacrosse team (0-7) on Wednesday night in Princeton. Junior goalie Jessica Colucci had a career-high 19 saves for the Cherry and White.
Brittany Hoffman led TU with two goals, while junior Chelsea Rosiek had one goal and one assist. Freshman Jacqueline Mercer converted a free position attempt for her third goal of the season.
The Tigers took a 7-0 lead into halftime, thanks to five first half goals by Drumm. Drumm made it 8-0 six minutes into the second half but Temple wouldn't stay silent for long. Mercer scored a free position goal just two minutes later for TU's first tally of the game and began a 3-0 Temple run. Rosiek and Hoffman netted back-to-back goals to make it 8-3 but Princeton rattled off five straight goals to make it 13-3 with just over two minutes remaining. Hoffman and Rosiek teamed to score one more to end the game with the 13-4 result.
Jane Randall stopped eight TU shots in goal for the Tigers.
Temple opens up Atlantic 10 play on Friday when it travels to Saint Joseph's for a 3 p.m. contest.
