PHILADELPHIA-- Temple University football has announced its roster for the annual Cherry & White intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the Edberg-Olson Complex (11th & Diamond Streets).
The Cherry squad, under the direction of Matt Rhule, features QB Vaughn Charlton, OL Wayne Tribue, WR Dy'Onne Crudup, RB Lamar McPherson, and TE Steve Maneri on offense. Defensively DB Deonte Parker, LB Tahir Whitehead, LB Quinten White, LB Jordan Martin, and DE Morkeith Brown will wear cherry.
The White squad, under the guidance of Mark D'Onofrio, features QB Chester Stewart, TE Matt Balasavage, WR Jason Harper, WR Delano Green, and RB Kee-ayre Griffin on offense. Defensively DB Anthony Ferla, DB Dominique Harris, LB Elijah Joseph, LB Amara Kamara, and DT Andre Neblett will suit up in white.
Under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Al Golden, this season's squad returns 17 starters, including nine on defense.
Temple opens the 2009 season with cross-town rival Villanova in the inaugural Mayor's Cup on Thursday, Sept. 3 at Lincoln Financial Field.
