Women's Lacrosse Encourages Fans To Wear Pink This Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple women's lacrosse team is encouraging fans to wear pink this Wednesday when they come to see the Owls take on Lafayette at 4 p.m. Help the Cherry and White in the fight against breast cancer by donating to the Love/Avon Army of Women Foundation.
Please stop by the marketing table to buy a pink ribbon or to donate to the Army of Women you can visit the foundation's website at www.armyofwomen.org.
The Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and the Avon Foundation for Women joined forces to launch the Love/Avon Army of Women. The foundations has two key goals: To recruit one million healthy women of every age and ethnicity, including breast cancer survivors and women at high-risk for the disease, to partner with breast cancer researchers and directly participate in the research that will eradicate breast cancer once and for all; and To challenge the scientific community to expand its current focus to include breast cancer prevention research conducted on healthy women.
Seniors Brittney Hoffman, Lauren Carey and Andrea DeSabato will also be honored in a pre-game ceremony.
