Softball Announces A Signing For The Class Of 2010

PHILADELPHIA - Temple softball head coach Joe DiPietro has announced the signing of Kristen Marris for the 2010 season. Marris is currently pitching and playing outfield for Midland College, where she is in her first season after transferring from New Mexico State.

As a freshman at New Mexico State, Marris pitched against Team USA in an exhibition game, striking out Jessica Mendoza and Tairia Flowers. She was also honored as an NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete, and a member of the Crimson & White Society.

The Owls are entering the heart of their conference schedule, hosting Rhode Island and Massachusetts this weekend at Ambler Sports Complex.
