Kevin Gilbride Quotes
What were you impressions of spring practice so far?
Work is being accomplished. The kids have had a great approach. They've been working towards our goals. We're starting to get close to achieving our goals.
What do you want the receivers to accomplish this spring?
Overall, raise our competition level whether it be running routes in defeating man-to-man or stalk block or competing for the football.
Who do you think has shown the most improvement?
Delano Green, because he's running the fastest he ever has. His knowledge of the offense has increased to the point where I feel comfortable putting him in in multiple positions and in multiple game situations.
Talk about your returners, including upperclassmen Jason Harper and Dy'Onne Cruudp:
Dy'Onne Crudup has done a tremendous job increasing his leadership role. He is a great pulse for the unit on offense and knows when the offense needs juice, knows when he just needs to step up his game in order to lead, and he's really doing that. Jason Harper is a tremendous talent who is honing in his skills. He's been improving throughout the course of the spring.
Talk about your younger players and newcomer Matt Brown:
Matt Brown is young and talented. He's very quick. I hope he'll be able to crack his way into the line-up. He still needs to learn most of the offensive system. Deven Baker and C.J. Hammond are two big wide receivers who have long arms and have the ability to make the big play on the long ball. They're still working on developing into skilled wide receivers.
