PHILADELPHIA - Temple football set an attendance record during its first session of the annual Al Golden Football Camp. In the first of five one-day camp sessions, a school record 661 high school student-athletes attended last Sunday's camp.
Campers traveled to the Philadelphia campus from 11 states and Canada.
Each camp session is staffed by the Temple football coaching staff as well as full-time coaches from Division I, I-AA, II, III, and premiere high school coaches from the Northeast Region. The student-athletes worked with some of the best coaches in the region and offered the campers the maximum level of exposure for their dollar. Each camper was also exposed to the facilities and training used by the current Temple Owl football team.
Four camp dates remain: Saturday, June 13; Saturday, June 20; Thursday, June 25; and Sunday, June 28. More 2,000 campers are expected to participate in this year's football sessions.
