Former Owl Quarterback Back With Eagles
PHILADELPHIA - Former Temple quarterback Adam DiMichele (McKees Rocks, Pa.) has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, the team announced Wednesday morning.
"I am so excited," DiMichele said Tuesday evening from the Pittsburgh International Airport prior to his flight to Philadelphia. "I can't put it into words. I was at home eating a sandwich with my family, and my phone rang. The Eagles wanted to bring me in as soon as possible. I have no details yet, but I'm not worried about it. It's just another opportunity for me. I'm excited, and my family is excited."
DiMichele (6-1, 202) was originally signed by the Eagles as a rookie free agent on May 18, 2009, after earning a tryout during offseason minicamps, but was released on June 11.
Temple's team MVP and team captain in 2007 and 2008, DiMichele finished his career ranked fourth in school history with 5,024 passing yards, adding 40 passing touchdowns and five rushing scores. He was a three-sport all-state selection as a senior in football, basketball and baseball at Sto-Rox High School.
