Temple Football Opens Training Camp on Friday

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University football team will open training camp on Friday, August 7 at Edberg-Olson Hall.
The coaching staff and squad of 105 players will take the field for the first time this fall, just 28 days from their first game.
This year, fans can watch updates posted daily on www.OwlSports.com. The Temple video staff will provide insight into the team's progress with video reports posted every day after practice.
Under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Al Golden, the 2009 squad returns 49 letterwinners, including 21 starters to 17 positions. The Owls have been tabbed second in the MAC East in a preseason media poll.
Practices are closed to the general public.
Temple opens the 2009 season on Thursday, Sept. 3 with Villanova at 7 p.m. in the inaugural Mayor's Cup at Lincoln Financial Field.
