Kate Yurkovic nets first collegiate goal to notch draw
High Point, NC – The Temple women's soccer team (2-1-1) picked up a 2-2 tie with the College of Charleston in the final game of the High Point Tournament Sunday afternoon.Trailing in the second half, freshman Kate Yurkovic tapped home a crossing pass to seal an undefeated weekend for the Owls.
Sophomore NikiConn continues to fuel the TU offense, netting the first goal of the game and putting the Owls up early in the 3rd minute.
Charleston defender Anna Pease netted twice, in the 28th and 53rd minutes to give her team a 2-1 lead until Yurkovic answered the call.
Making her second start in goal for the Cherry and White, freshman Gillian Kacsuta posted four saves in the contest.
Temple returns to Ambler on September 11th to do battle with Wagner at 4:00 p.m.
