Sekellick to Oversee Rules Education Program
PHILADELPHIA (1/13/10) – Jennifer White Sekellick has been promoted to Assistant Director for Compliance & Student Services for Temple University Athletics.
Sekellick has served as the Compliance & Student Services Coordinator since October 2007, working primarily in the areas of recruiting and overseeing the CHAMPS/Life Skills program.
“Jennifer has worked extremely hard over the last two years and has been a valuable member of our team,” said Sherryta Freeman, Associate Athletic Director for Compliance & Student Services.
In her new position, Sekellick will take on a leadership role in compliance by overseeing the rules education program for athletics staff, student-athletes, and representatives of athletics interests, while also assisting in the investigation and reporting of NCAA violations. In addition, she will process waivers on behalf of student-athletes and play a significant role in the development and submission of NCAA reports. Sekellick will continue her duties as the University's CHAMPS/Life Skills coordinator.
“I am really excited about this opportunity and look forward to enhancing our rules education program and taking on my new responsibilities,” Sekellick said.
Prior to joining the Owls, the Manalapan, N.J., native worked as a Compliance Coordinator at Seton Hall University. She assisted with NCAA eligibility and recruiting policies, as well as oversaw the National Girls and Women in Sports Day event.
Sekellick was an assistant track and field/cross country coach at Bryn Mawr College during the 2005-06 season, while pursuing a master's degree.
A 2004 graduate of Lafayette College, Sekellick was a four-year member of the Leopard track team. A two-time captain, she was the recipient of the Henry Richard Jahn Trophy, an award for leadership in athletics. She was also active in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She earned her master's degree in sports management from Neumann College in May 2007.
