PHILADELPHIA – The Temple football team will be featured during this week's segment of Wednesday's Child to air on NBC10 on Wednesday, Oct. 20 during the 5 p.m. news.
Hosted by sports anchor Vai Sikahema, Wednesday's Child helps seek adoptive homes for children in foster care. This week's segment features 14-year old Marqease, an avid football fan, and his day with DB Vaughn Carraway (Lauredale, Pa.) of the Temple football team.
The segment will re-air on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. and will be available online at www.NBCPhiladelphia.com.
The Wednesday's Child program is sponsored by the Freddie Mac Foundation. The Wednesday's Child program started in Washington, D.C., in 1992, a partnership with NBC4 and the Council of Governments. Its phenomenal success encouraged the Freddie Mac Foundation to expand the program nationwide.
Temple (5-2, 2-1 MAC) travels to Buffalo (2-4, 1-1) on Saturday, Oct. 23 for a Noon game at UB Stadium. ESPN Plus/GamePlan/espn3.com will televise the game nationally (shown locally on 6ABC).
