Box Score

ST. LOUIS, Mo.
- The Temple men's soccer team kept Saint Louis scoreless through one half of play Friday night at Hermann Stadium, but three second half goals from the Billikens left the Owls with their third conference loss of the season.  Temple is now 5-8-2, 3-3-0 in Atlantic 10 play while Saint Louis moves to 6-6-2, 3-3-0 in conference action.

Both teams managed the game evenly in the first half, as the Owls and Billikens posted four shots each.  Owls' redshirt-senior keeper Bret Mollon made one save in the period, with TU forcing SLU keeper Mark Pais to make two saves.

The Billikens exploded in the second half, posting goals in the 52nd, 76th and 89th minutes.  SLU's Benny Estes netted the game winner unassisted, gathering a rebound and hitting a shot from 13-yards out to the right post.  Adnan Gabeljic worked the give-and-go with Alex Sweetin for the home team's second goal of the night, while Jon Roeckle set up Mike Roach for the insurance goal and a 3-0 final score.

Mollon ended with two saves on the game, allowing as many goals.  Redshirt-freshman Fran Nelms played the final 7:30 of the game, allowing one goal.  SLU's Pais kept the shutout with two saves.

The Owls could not find anything on the offensive end in the second half, mustering just two shots and one on net.
