Eighty-two Temple student-athletes earn distinction
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Eighty-two Temple University student-athletes were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2009 semester, the Conference announced Thursday. All 1,199 members of the honor roll were recognized by Commissioner Bernadette McGlade for posting a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
“I congratulate the student-athletes who have been named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Balancing the demands of athletic participation and academic achievement is a difficult task,” says A-10 Commissioner Bernadette V. McGlade. “Each is a great role model for their institution and the Atlantic 10 Conference.”
The Temple women's track and field team led all Cherry and White programs with 14 student-athletes honored. Only sports that compete under the Atlantic 10 governance were recognized.
