PHILADELPHIA– More than 30 graduating student-athletes were evaluated on Thursday during Temple football's annual Pro Timing Day.
Scouts from 18 professional teams-- 17 National Football League teams and one Canadian Football League team-- as well as Mike Mayock from the NFL Network, timed and evaluated 12 Owls and 18 additional Pennsylvania players for the upcoming NFL Draft.
Temple begins spring drills on Saturday, March 20. The annual Cherry & White intra-squad scrimmage is slated for Saturday, April 17 at Chodoff Field at Edberg-Olson Hall at 2 p.m. This year's team returns 56 lettermen, including 16 starters.
The Owls, under fifth-year head coach Al Golden, opens the 2010 season with cross-city rival and defending FCS national champion Villanova in the second annual Mayor's Cup at Lincoln Financial Field (date TBA).
