Softball's Danielle Fagan Named Owlsports.com Athlete of the Month

Senior picks up award after solid April

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Senior Danielle Fagan (Lester, Pa./Interboro) has been tabbed the OwlSports.com Athlete of the Month for the month of April.

Fagan batted .368 in a 10-10 month for Temple. She had 20 RBI and eight of her nine season home runs during the month, in addition to hitting safely in the last seven games of April. Nearly half of her hits were for extra bases and she boasted an impressive .825 slugging percentage.

For the season, Fagan led the squad in five offensive categories and etched her name into the single-season top-10 lists for homeruns, RBI and slugging percentage.

Temple finished the year 19-30 overall and 8-12 in Atlantic 10 play, narrowly missing the playoffs.
