Temple Announces Football Television Schedule

Central Michigan Game Moved to Sept. 9 for ESPNU Broadcast

PHILADELPHIA – At least eight of Temple University's 2010 football games will be televised, including five nationally televised broadcasts. Television for the Sept. 25 game at Penn State has yet to be determined.

Temple's Mid-American Conference opener with Central Michigan has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 9. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field before a national television audience on ESPNU.

Additionally, kickoff times for all home games were announced on Tuesday.

The Owls, under fifth-year head coach Al Golden, play six home games as part of the Owls' fourth season of MAC play.

Temple opens the season with cross-city rival and defending FCS national champion Villanova in the second annual Mayor's Cup at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. ESPN3.com will carry the game live nationally.

The Owls' game at Army on Oct. 2 will be televised nationally by CBS College Sports, beginning at Noon.

ESPN Plus will carry the games with Connecticut (Sept. 18), at Northern Illinois (Oct. 9), and at Buffalo (Oct. 23). Each contest will kick off at Noon.

The Owls close out the regular season with a pair of Tuesday night clashes, both set for a national television audience on ESPN2. First, Temple hosts Ohio (Nov. 16) on Senior Night at 8 p.m. before travelling to Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 23 for a 7 p.m. clash.

The 2010 MAC Championship game will take place at Ford Field in Detroit on Friday, Dec. 3. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
