Events Slated for July 10
PHILADELPHIA – Calling all Temple fans and summertime shore-goers! Mark your calendars-- Temple Athletics hits the Atlantic coast in its latest installment of Temple Down the Shore, scheduled for Saturday, July 10.
“Since head football coach Al Golden arrived in 2006, our annual Temple Down the Shore event has been a fun way to energize our alumni, fans and friends for the upcoming season,” said Associate Athletics Director for Development Scott Koskoski. “A variety of events truly makes Temple Down the Shore a day for every Owl, and given the excitement for the 2010 season, we hope to see even more faces this year.”
The day kicks off with a special football “Breakfast with the Coach” at 9 a.m. at The Lobster House in Cape May, N.J. The ever-popular Temple Football FanFest follows at 10 a.m. on the Ocean City Music Pier, featuring giveaways and free autographs from members of the Temple team and coaching staff.
Temple Down the Shore then makes it way to the stunning Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point for a golf tournament at 1 p.m. and Temple Family Cookout at 6 p.m. When the sun goes down, the action picks up at the Young Alumni Beach Party at La Costa Lounge in Sea Isle City, an event open to all and including unlimited draft beer, house wine, soda, an appetizer buffet and live entertainment.
“Whether you choose to attend one or more of the Temple Down the Shore events, we hope you use this occasion to help us celebrate Temple and gear up for the 2010 football season,” Koskoski said. “It's a great time to be a Temple Owl, and we look forward to your involvement down the shore.”
