PHILADELPHIA – The Temple lacrosse team's adopted sister Lily Adkins and her family are holding Lily's Second Annual Lemonade Stand to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. The event will take place on Saturday, June 12 in Lindenwold, N.J., and there is also a way to donate online at http://www.alexslemonade.org/stands/9214.

Four-year old Lily was adopted by the Owls in April through the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation which matches children affected by brain tumors with high school and college teams around the country. Lily is a survivor of an ependymoma brain tumor and has been doing well for a few years, since the discovery and initial treatment of her tumor when she was 14 months old. She is the daughter of Mike and Trish Adkins, both Temple alums, and also has a 16-month old sister named Chloe.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation has raised over $30 million for pediatric cancer research since its inception 10 years ago.

Last year, Lily's stand raised $3,000, and this year Lily has set her goal at $5,000.

Sleeping Beauty, a Disney Princess from Enchanted Dreams in Haddonfield, will be attending Lily's stand from 9:30-11:30 a.m. She will be available for photo opportunities and autographs. Members of the Temple lacrosse team will also be on hand and doing face-painting.

Anyone who makes a donation of $30 and over will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate from Betsy Brody photography.

The lemonade stand will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on June 12, at 528 6th Avenue, Lindenwold, N.J., 08021.
