Temple Athletics Earns Four Top National Finishes
PHILADELPHIA (7/12/10) – Temple Athletic Communications received recognition last week from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) during its annual convention in San Francisco.
Temple earned an “Excellence in Publications” citation for its 2009 football poster, designed by Kevin Bonner with photography by Joseph V. Labolito, which finished third nationally.
The Owls' 2009 Bowl Media Guide, written and designed by Cathy Bongiovi with cover design by Kelli Sheesley, finished sixth nationally.
The Temple football game programs, written by Bongiovi and designed by Bonner and Sheesley, also finished sixth nationally. The 2009 football media guide, produced by Bongiovi, Bonner, and Al Shrier, finished 13th nationally among all Division I-A football programs.
Temple opens the season with cross-city rival and defending FCS national champion Villanova in the second annual Mayor's Cup at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, Sept. 3 at 5 p.m. ESPN3.com will carry the game live nationally.
