DETROIT – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) will host its 2010 Football Media Day on Friday, July 30, from 8 a.m. to Noon, from Ford Field in Detroit.
The MAC Football Media Day kicks off the season, which officially begins on Thursday, Sept. 2, and will conclude with the 2010 Marathon MAC Football Championship on Friday, Dec. 3 from Ford Field.
Joining MAC Commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher will be all 13 head coaches from member institutions and two student-athletes from each university. Special guests at media day include Bill Hancock, Executive Director of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and ESPN Game Day college football analyst Desmond Howard.

The media preview will give fans an inside look at the upcoming season of Mid-American Conference football as the head coaches and players of all 13 MAC schools will be interviewed.
In attendance from Temple University are head coach Al Golden, senior DB Jaiquawn Jarrett (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and sophomore RB Bernard Pierce (Ardmore, Pa.).
Temple kicks off the 2010 football season in the second annual Mayor's Cup against Villanova at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, Sept. 3 at 5 p.m.
Under fifth-year head coach Al Golden, the Owls return 56 lettermen, including 16 starters, from the 2009 squad that finished 9-4 overall and 7-1 in the Mid-American Conference en route to an appearance in the EagleBank Bowl.
Temple football season tickets are on sale now for as low as $90, as well as single-game tickets, and can be purchased by calling the Temple Ticket Office at 215-204-8499. Fans are encouraged to visit www.OwlsTix.com.
