Owls Open Season on Sept. 3 with Villanova
PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University football team continued training camp on Friday at Edberg-Olson Hall.

\Owl Outlook is back for Day 7 of training camp, with today's focus being on the offensive line, joining us for interviews today are veterans Wayne Tribue (York, Pa.) and Colin Madison (Villa Park, Ill.).
The offensive line made enormous strides for the Owls in 2009, and the coaching staff responded by giving the whole group the prestigious "Owl Award" as the Offensive MVP at the Awards Banquet in December. Madison and Tribue, account for "just" 650 lbs. of the beefed up front line, and have proven themselves on and off the field. Madison, a senior, was named first-team All-MAC in 2009 and is a preseason pick for the same spot this year after being a late addition to the Temple 2007 signing class. Tribue, who has played in 25 games with 14 starts with the Owls in two seasons, was named the Most Improved Offensive Player at the conclusion of Spring Practice. The Honor Roll student has played both guard positions as well as center during his time with the Cherry and White.
Joining them up front as regular contributors are Darius Morris (Long Branch, N.J.), Derek Dennis (Peekskill, N.Y.), John Palumbo (Lyndhurst, N.J.), Steve Caputo (Kennett Square, Pa.), Pat Boyle (Towson, Md.), and Jeremy Schonbrunner (Salisbury, Md.). Morris (6-4, 318 lb), a first-team All-MAC selection at right tackle, received the "Top Hog Award" as the team's best offensive lineman at the end of the 2009 campaign. Dennis (6-5, 328) has earned 14 starts in his time as an Owl. He spent his redshirt in 2009 due to a knee injury, but is healthy and back in the fold for the coming season. Palumbo (6-6, 312) was a third-team All-MAC selection in 2009, starting in 12 games. Caputo (6-5, 320 lb), a junior, is one of the more versatile linemen on the team, starting nine games last season at both tackle and guard. Boyle (6-5, 324), played in ten games in 2009, and was named a Preseason fourth-team All-MAC pick going into the year. Schonbrunner (6-3, 306 lbs) is one of the major contributors as well. The former walk-on was the recipient of the 2010 Mark Bresani Award for spirit and enthusiasm at the conclusion of spring drills.
The line is not only strong up front, but it is also one of the deepest units on the squad. Sean Boyle (Towson, Md.), has played in 25 games in his career. A slew youngsters bring up the rear of the depth chart, including redshirt freshmen Evan Regas (Toms River, N.J.), Darryl Pringle (Reading, Pa.), Cody Bohler (Branchburg, N.J.), and Scott Roorda (Westmoreland, N.Y.), as well as sophomore Stephen Yuan (Glenside, Pa.). Just like every other position group, there are plenty of new faces to go around as well. Among those is Big 33 participant Adam Metz (Hummelstown, Pa.), who at 6-5, 310 lbs. already looks the part. He's not the only intimidating addition up front however, because with Joe Cenatiempo (Glen Mills, Pa.), Elijah Grant (Piscataway, N.J.), and Martin Wallace (New York, N.Y.), there is some major beef to contend with in the trenches. Walk-on Jake Lane (Harrison Valley, Pa.) will be looking to crack into the rotation as well.
