Owl Outlook is back for Day 12 of training camp, with today's focus being on the kicking game, joining us for interviews today are specialists Brandon McManus (Hatfield, Pa.) and Jeff Wathne (Ledgewood, N.J.).

McManus joined the team as part of the 2009 Signing Day Class and was a participant in last year's Big 33 Game. He was the only member of the class to play in all 13 games and finished tied for first on the team with 96 points scored. McManus (6-3, 190 lb) finished the year 17-of-24 on field goals and 45-of-48 on extra points. The sophomore also picked up 4,869 yards on 78 kickoffs (62.4 average).

Wathne (6-2, 195) played in 12 games in 2009, handling all of the punting during the regular season. The senior racked up 1,709 yards on 46 punts for a 37.2 average. Entering last year, Wathne was named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List, given to the nation's best punter. This coming after a season in 2008 when he was named third-team All-MAC.

With Wathne being a senior, the team went out and signed a punter on signing day. That punter would be the 6-5, 240-lb. Andrew Cerett (Huntingdon, Pa.). Cerett, who was ranked as the No. 8 punter in the entire country by Scout.com, not only took care of all the kicking duties at Huntingdon Area High School, but also played defensive tackle, racking up 67 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 10 TFL's and three forced fumbles. Cerett was a three-time All-Conference and All-State honoree, and averaged 42.2 yards per punt as a senior with a long of 61 yards.

The Temple video staff will provide insight into the team's progress with video reports posted every day after practice.
