Temple Softball To Host Rocci Pignoli Fall Memorial Classic This Weekend

Owls take on Rider, Iona and Delaware in weekend action

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – In preparation for the 2011 season, head coach Joe DiPietro and the Temple softball team has announced it will be hosting the 2010 Rocci Pignoli Fall Memorial Classic at Ambler Sports Complex on September 18-19.

To kick off the Pignoli Memorial, the Owls have a doubleheader Saturday, taking on Rider at 9 a.m., followed by a meeting with Iona at 11 a.m. In Sunday's action, TU will compete against Delaware at 3 p.m.

The complete schedule is as follows:

Saturday, September 18
9:00 a.m.          Temple vs. Rider
11:00 a.m.         Temple vs. Iona
1:00 p.m.          Caldwell vs. Rider
3:00 p.m.          Iona vs. Saint Joseph's

5:00 p.m.          Saint Joseph's vs. Caldwell

Sunday, September 19
9:00 a.m.          Kutztown vs. Saint Joseph's
11:00 a.m.         Delaware vs. Villanova
1:00 p.m.          Villanova vs. Kutztown
3:00 p.m.          Temple vs. Delaware
