Box Score

BURLINGTON, Vt.
- Junior Samantha Farlow set up a pair of goals in the Temple women's soccer team's 2-1 victory over Vermont, Friday afternoon.  After a scoreless second half, Farlow found junior Niki Conn and sophomore Kate Yurkovic for tallies to even the Cherry and White's record at 4-4-0.  Vermont falls to 1-6-0 on the season.

The Owls pressured in the first half, outshooting Vermont 8-5 and forcing UV keeper Morgan Nichols to make three saves.  In net for Temple was sophomore Gillian Kacsuta, who improved her season record to 2-0-0 with eight saves on the game.

Conn broke the scoreless tie in the 54th minute, taking a pass from Farlow and burying it to the lower right corner.

In her first game back from injury, Yurkovic made her presence felt in a big way.  Netting in the 71st minute, her tally would be the deciding factor in the win.

Vermont avoided the shutout with a goal in the 81st, as Haley Marks found the back of the net on a low shot off of a scramble.

Conn and Yurkovic, along with junior Allicia 'Sha' Yurkovic are all tied for the team-lead in goals scored with four.  For Farlow, it was her first points of the season.

The Owls remain in the far Northeast for a match with Maine on Sunday.  Action is slated for 1:00 p.m.
