Women's Soccer Opens Atlantic 10 Slate At George Washington, Richmond

Owls posted an even 5-5-0 record in non-conference play
PHILADELPHIA - For the Temple women's soccer team, the road to an Atlantic 10 playoff berth begins with a trip south to take on George Washington and Richmond this weekend. The Owls face the Colonials on Friday at 4:00 p.m., then taking on the Spiders at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The Cherry and White wrapped up a competitive non-conference schedule with a 5-5-0 record. Three Owls already boast double-digit points, including juniors Niki Conn and Allicia 'Sha' Yurkovic, along with sophomore Kate Yurkovic.
Conn leads the team in goals with six and points with 16, ranking third in the conference in points. She is already on pace to set a new season high, last year posting eight goals.
K. Yurkovic ranks second on the team with five goals despite missing two games due to injury. 'Sha' Yurkovic has had set up as many goals as she has netted with four. Senior Kelly Diviny has been one of the team's main distributors, posting a team and conference best five assists.
Head coach David Jones has utilized all three of his keepers in the first half of this season. Junior Tara Murphy and sophomore Gillian Kacsuta have each made four starts, owning like-records of 2-2-0. Senior Kara Williams has made two starts for the Owls, posting a 1-1-0 record.
